We are experts in our field and use proven polygraph testing techniques to help determine the credibility of a person's statements. The polygraph is an extremely effective tool for truth verification by recording physiological changes within the human body. A polygraph test involves three phases: the pre-test phase, the data collection phase, and the data analysis phase. During the pre-test phase, paperwork will be completed and the examinee will be familiarized with the testing procedure and the polygraph instrument. All questions will be gone over with the examinee prior to being attached to the polygraph testing instrument. During the data collection phase, the polygraph examiner will administer the polygraph test and collect at least three polygraph charts recording the physiological changes occurring within the examinee's body. Finally, during the data analysis phase, the polygraph examiner will carefully review and score each chart in order to render an opinion as to the truthfulness of the examinee's answers.
It should be noted that "One of the first" polygraph or lie detector devices recording both blood pressure and galvanic skin response was invented in 1920 by Dr. John A. Larson of the University of California. And was first applied in law enforcement testing by the Berkeley Police Department under its nationally renowned police chief, August Vollmer. Further enhancements to this polygraph or lie detector was conducted by Leonarde Keeler.
Subsequently in today's terms, a polygraph or lie detector test is also known by it's clinical term as a psychophysiological detection of deception test. This is because the polygraph or lie detector instrument measures and records several physiological responses from the body. The responses measured are blood pressure, pulse, respiration breathing rhythms, body temperatures and skin conductivity while the examinee is asked and answers a series of questions or techniques. Lie detection is reliable and a proven science when applied by experienced seasoned polygraph examiners.
Current polygraph testing research indicates that when a specific single issue polygraph test is administered, it is found to be 95% to 98% accurate. Lukas Polygraph service uses the newest and most up to date polygraph/lie detector computerized testing technology in Florida and the U.S.

Polygraph/Lie Detector Viewpoint:
Palm Beach Florida trial of William Kennedy Smith
Palm Beach, Florida: At the end of the trial, a Palm Beach State Attorney stated that according to the evidence on hand he would of charged Smith again even today. The State Attorney said this was not just a date rape because they had just met. Without her consent, this became sexual battery which is intercourse without her permission. Everyone involved in this case believed the woman's story and during the subsequent investigation, the victim had passed two polygraph/lie detector tests and even a voice-stress test. The victim did not break from her statements of what had occurred even through five serious interviews by Palm Beach law enforcement and State Attorneys plus the defense's exhausting three day deposition. The soft tissue injuries on her pelvis area were consistent with the rape she had described. There was more then enough probable cause in order to charge him in the Palm Beach trial.
Palm Beach Florida Probate Hearing over Tobias' Estate
Palm Beach, Florida: A probate fight over a $35 million dollar estate dispute in Palm Beach, Florida ended when a last minute settlement was finally reached which involved the estate of CNBC Financial Analyst, Seth Tobias. Documents in the Palm Beach Circuit Court did include a letter from Ash's legal counsel that stated he had passed a polygraph/lie detector test.
Palm Beach Florida Jewelry Heist
Palm Beach, Florida: Ray Bergman had suspicions that one of his employees was involved with the robbery of his jewelry store. Bergmans' Palm Beach jewelry store employee Anthony Barba had stated to Bergman that two males approached him at the front of the store and put "something" into the area of his back. The two males then took $150,000 worth of jewelry and forced Barba and another employee into the store bathroom. Oddly, the silent jewerly store alarm was never activated. Bergman stated that Barba could have triggered the silent alarm during the store robbery but for unknown reasons, did not. Bergman stated that Barba had the silent alarm trigger in his hand and could have immediately activated it. Barba also had to press one button to let the robbers in. Bergman further stated that all Barba had to do was press both of them at the exact same time when it all happened. Also another thing that Bergman reasoned was odd was the fact that Barba refused to submit to a lie detector test.
MIAMI, FLORIDA
Miami Police had investigated a highly publicized murder case involving the 1986 slaying of construction magnate Stanley Cohen. At the beginning of the Miami Police investigation, Stanley's wife Joyce had been a prime suspect. In 1989, the Miami-Dade prosecution team had star witness, Frank Zuccarello testify that Joyce hired three assasins to murder her husband and this star witness just so happened to have also been one of them. Joyce was convicted of conspiracy and murder by the Miami jury and subsequently the judge in the case sentenced her to life. Miami Prosecutors negotiated for a couple more years in order to get second-degree murder pleas for forty year prison terms from each of the other two hit men. Zuccarello was arrested a short time later on an unrelated home invasion charge and immediately began working on a deal with the Miami police by telling them that he had been involved in many more robberies. Zuccarello admitted some time later that he had information about a several murders as well which included Stanley Cohen's. The State of Florida subsequently gave him an offer of full immunity in the murder case and a good deal for the home invasions he had confessed too. He confessed to his part in the murder once he had an immunity guarantee. Zuccarello had already done two years in prison for the home invasions and was already free by the time the murder trial came up against Joyce Cohen in Miami A book about the case was published, which was written by Miami attorney Carol Soret Cope around 1993. This book was titled "In the Fast Lane: A True Story of Murder in Miami" and the book spoke about information not previously disclosed. The book disclosed that Zuccarello failed three lie detector tests administered by the Miami PD.

One of the Joe Cool Defendants Passes a Polygraph
Defendant Zarabozo passed a scientifically validated polygraph/lie detector exam completed by two different examiners well experienced in the use of the polygraph. The two examiners determined that Zarabozo answered truthfully questions that demonstrated he had not: (A) committed a premeditated murder, (i.e., did not shoot anyone) (B) committed conspiracy to murder (C) committed the crime of felony murder. The 11th Judicial Circuit of Miami has determined that the polygraph evidence in this case will be admissible in the trial in order to corroborate the testimony of a witness at this Miami trial.
ORLANDO, FLORIDA
Orlando, Florida - You will have to take a lie detector test from now on if you want to file a complaint against any Orlando Police Officer. While the Orlando Police Dept. conducts an investigation on it's officers, it wants the person(s) making the complaint to be polygraphed. One citizen stated he was manhandled by an Orlando police officer during the prior year. This citizen had locked himself out of his vehicle so he picked up a 2-by-4 to smash his window in order to gain entry. When nearby residents observed him smashing the vehicle window, they called police because he appeared to be stealing the vehicle. Once on scene, Orlando police officers determined the vehicle was actually owned by this citizen and released him. But this citizen stated he was kicked by these responding officers so he filed a complaint with IA. Sometime after filing the complaint, he was asked to take a lie detector test. This citizen was upset and felt he did not need to submit to this polygraph exam. The public information officer for Orlando Police Dept. stated that polygraph/lie detector tests are used for investigation purposes and every case is different so investigators use it when needed.
