We are experts in our field and use proven polygraph testing techniques to help determine the credibility of a person's statements.  The polygraph is an extremely effective tool for truth verification by recording physiological changes within the human body.  A polygraph test involves three phases: the pre-test phase, the data collection phase, and the data analysis phase.   During the pre-test phase, paperwork will be completed and the examinee will be familiarized with the testing procedure and the polygraph instrument.  All questions will be gone over with the examinee prior to being attached to the polygraph testing instrument.  During the data collection phase, the polygraph examiner will administer the polygraph test and collect at least three polygraph charts recording the physiological changes occurring within the examinee's body.  Finally, during the data analysis phase, the polygraph examiner will carefully review and score each chart in order to render an opinion as to the truthfulness of the examinee's answers.

It should be noted that "One of the first" polygraph or lie detector devices recording both blood pressure and galvanic skin response was invented in 1920 by Dr. John A. Larson of the University of California.  And was first applied in law enforcement testing by the Berkeley Police Department under its nationally renowned police chief, August Vollmer. Further enhancements to this polygraph or lie detector was conducted by Leonarde Keeler.

Subsequently in today's terms, a polygraph or lie detector test is also known by it's clinical term as a psychophysiological detection of deception test.  This is because the polygraph or lie detector instrument measures and records several physiological responses from the body. The responses measured are blood pressure, pulse, respiration breathing rhythms, body temperatures and skin conductivity while the examinee is asked and answers a series of questions or techniques.  Lie detection is reliable and a proven science when applied by experienced seasoned polygraph examiners.

Current polygraph testing research indicates that when a specific single issue polygraph test is administered, it is found to be 95% to 98% accurate.  Lukas Polygraph service uses the newest and most up to date polygraph/lie detector computerized testing technology in Florida and the U.S.

All of our employment related polygraph tests are compliant with the Federal Employee Polygraph Protection Act of 1988 and the State of Florida.   Contact us and we will work with your specific needs.   We have Florida offices in Miami, Orlando, Boca Raton, Ft. Involvement of the Polygraph/Lie Detector in Recent or Historical Court Cases And Crimes In Palm Beach, Florida.  The Following Are Excerpts:

Palm Beach Florida trial of William Kennedy Smith

Palm Beach, Florida: After the trial ended, Palm Beach State Attorney Bludworth insisted, "Based on the evidence, I would charge ((Smith)) again today. This wasn't date rape. They had just met. This was a sexual battery, intercourse without her consent." The police, prosecutors, rape counselors and the doctors who had examined the woman believed her. During the investigation, she had passed two polygraph/lie detector tests and a voice- stress analysis. She stood-by her story through five grueling interrogations by Palm Beach police and prosecutors and an exhausting three-day deposition by the defense. The bruises on her torso were consistent with the attack she described. Palm Beach State Attorney Bludworth stated: "There was absolutely no question that there was more than probable cause to file charges."

Palm Beach Florida Probate Hearing over Tobias' Estate

Palm Beach, Florida: A $35 million dollar probate fight in Palm Beach, Florida ended when they reached a last minute settlement involving the estate of the late CNBC Financial Analyst, Seth Tobias.  Palm Beach Circuit Court documents included a letter from Ash's lawyer that he had passed a polygraph/lie detector test.

Palm Beach Florida Jewelry Heist

Palm Beach, Florida: Ray Bergman was suspicious of one of his employees from the moment his jewelry store was robbed Jan. 14.

His Palm Beach jewelry store employee Anthony Barba told Bergman that two men approached him in front of the store and put "something" in his back.  The two men then stole $150,000 worth of jewelry and forced Barba and another employee into the bathroom. The silent alarm was never triggered.

During the robbery, Bergman said Barba could have triggered the silent alarm, but for some reason didn't.

"The kid had it in his hand," Bergman said in January. "He could have immediately -- he had to hit one button to let him in. All he had to do was hit them both at the exact same time that happened."

And something else Bergman thought was odd was that Barba refused to take a lie detector test.
